I have a very poor cable TV connection. Can I buy something that will make the picture/sound look/sound less crappy? Where would you recommend I by this and what should I ask for?

Yes there are boosters that will increase the strengh of a cable signal. But it really depends on your situation, or rather how good your signal is out of the wall. If its really weak and crappy the booster might help a little but it will just be boosting the crappy signal. If your looking at a tv right by the socket and the signal is crappy call your cable company most of the time they can fix that by adusting the signal comming into the house. If you have a tv next to the socket and it looks great but the tv down the hall attached to the 50ft extension cable looks crappy they get a booster. Radio shack or any other decent exectronc shops should have what you are looking for. However the radio shack (one that allows you to adust the strengh of the signal) is better than something say found at k-mart.
Just tell them you want to boost the signal of your cable and they should know where to take you, if they don't you don't want to shop there anyway.
