  1. I am trying to burn home videos in SVCD format. I have had success using VCDEasy and then Nero to burn a cue image onto Sony CD-RW 650 MB disks, but when I try to burn onto an Imation CD-R 700 MB disk I get a message from Nero saying it's been done, but there doesn't seem to be anything there when I try to play in the computer or dvd player. Is video more particular than audio re CD-R quality?

As a workaround I have also tried to just copy the image already burned successfully to the CD-RW but then Nero says there have been errors in reading the disk.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

You may want to ensure that your burn mode is not simulated only.
    Hello.

  3. Thanks, but I've checked that out. As far as I can tell I've used exactly the same procedure for burning the CD-R as the CD-RW and I have unchecked the simulation option each time.

  4. The only other thing I've realised is that the Sony CD-RW disks only allow a max write speed of 4x. The lowest I can adjust the Imation write speed to is 8x. I don't know if this is significant but do you know of any way to overide the Nero settings to get this down to 4x?
