  1. The only one I know is SnatchIt. I want to make screenshot of scenes in a Divx, Xvid AVI file, which other software is available?

    My PowerDVD 5 plays DV avi... how would you explain this...?
    I use it also for screen captures from miniDV (AVI file) material that I recorded. So, in short, yes it does work.

    Open the avi file with virtualdub and go to the desired frame and then click on video/copy frame source to clipboard and open paint and edit/paste image.

  7. Apparently PowerDVD 5 does not do DIVX,XVID AVIs, try it if you don't believe.

    TMPG can. You select it to only encode the frame you want and instead of making mpeg output you export to .bmp sequence and you will have a single .bmp picture.

    Sounds to me you are looking for a program with one step click and pic taken.Not sure if you will find something that like that.
