  1. What I'm trying to do is put some flash (.swf) cartoons from Homestar Runner onto vcd. Being that they are made on a computer, for a computer, their width and height isn't a standard size for vcd. (I don't know if that matters or not, though.)

I'm using Magic Swf2avi to convert them to .avi files, and then I'm encoding with TMPG. I have tried a bunch of different source aspect ratio's and video arrange methods in TMPG, but I'm still having problems getting the cartoons to display right on my tv, the top and bottom, and even the sides keep getting cut off.
What I don't understand is that when I encode in TMPG, eveything looks fine, all of the image is there, and nothing is cut off. But when I burn to vcd and play in my dvd player, it seems to like zoom in on it, because it fills up the entire tv screen and gets cut off all around. (I've tried 3 different dvd players and tvs, and they all do the same thing.) But when I put the same vcd into my dvd-rom drive on my pc, it looks fine again, and nothing is cut off.

Does any one have any ideas? I sure hope so, I've been working on this for about 5 days now, and it's getting a bit frustrating.
If you have any advice, I'd really, really, really appreciate it. I'm finding this problem to be very weird, and annyoing.

  2. Doesn't anyone have any advice? I find it hard to believe I am the only one this has ever happened to before..... This problem is really driving me nuts!

(I edited the post above so it is hopefully easier to understand than it was when I originally posted it. I gave it an easier to understand title, too. And since doing all this, I'm going to bump it, just once, and I won't do it again, I promise! Please don't get upset, but I'd just really like to solve this problem.)
