  1. I've captured some video as MPEG, then converted the audio to AC3 and re-multiplexed, and the video plays back perfectly as an MPEG2, with audio and video in sync throughout. However, when I convert the file to VOB (using dvdlab, tmpegenc author, or moviefactory), then the audio is in sync at the start of the video, but by the end, it is about one second out of sync. I have checked this again and again (with the input and the output), and the result is the same every time. any ideas what's going on and how I might fix it???

With tmpgenc dvd author you can feed in the mpv and ac3 without muxing beforehand, try this to see it works.

When i get sound out of sync like that i either stretch or shrink the timeline with goldwave.

  5. According to the file information, the audio and video files are the same length though, and it plays fine as an mpeg2 file, its only when created as a VOB structure it goes pear shaped
