I tried to burn a movie VCD by using Adaptec Easy CD Creator v4.02. I can play with it on my computer, but not on my DVD player. My DVD player is Panasonic DVD-RV31. Does anyone know what's going on? Or could I make any mistake while burning it?

The most likely explanation is that your DVD player simply can't read CD-R/W media. Does your DVD manual say that it can? If it doesn't, then your player wasn't designed to read CD-R/W media and it is not surprising that it doesn't do it well.
You could try making an audio CD on the same media type to confirm if this is the issue.
Often, you will be able to find a brand of CD-R media that works -- but that will involved experimenting with different brands on your part. CD-RW often works better in these cases.

Thanks Michael.
For sure my DVD player's manual say it can play DVD, Compact disc (CD-DA, VCD), CD-R and CD-RW. It shows an message says, "This type of disc cannot be played, please insert a different disc."
Thanks again, let me try to use CD-RW to do it again. -
The question is can your DVD player play CDR media? Check the list to the left (DVD Players) for more info. You can also try to play a music CDR to see what happens.

The reason he responded with that suggestion is because some machines are finicky and CDRW is sometimes more compatible than CDR.
Also, I've found that some VCD authoring software is more stable than others. I created a set of VCDs and they play fine on my Pioneer and a friend's Panosonic, but my friend's Philips 711 has problems playing them. Yet the Philips can play other VCDs I've burned.
Another variable is the source of the video/audio.
If this stuff were actually easy to figure out, VCDs would be much more of a standard and EVERYONE would be doing them!
Cheers,
Bryan

Thank you all. I've already had a pile of frisbees on my desk. I think the best solution is to buy a new DVD player, try different brands.

however always in the testing [hase or just starting..always do a CDRW just so you dont make coasters..
I thought you had said the CDRWs didnt work..some players dont like CDRs but take CDRWs fine
