How to convert video clips from pc games to dvd ?

Anyone know how to convert movies from pc games to mpeg2 ?
I tried to capture the videos with camstudio but it's not very practical.
Game videos are usually in some propriertary formats that are not playable tru media pllayer so i know it's kinda tricky to do the conversion.

That's a big part of the problem right there. There are two types of game "movies." Pre-rendered movies that get played off the hard drive can frequently be converted to a usable format, but many games are using movies that are generated on the fly by the game's 3d engine. Those don't actually exist as video files, so they have to be captured and then converted.

What is the video you're trying to convert?

i' m talking about the pre-rendered ones like blink etc.
