I'm trying to author a file with dvd author. The program accepts the file as dvd compliant. I step through all stages and start the output. All goes well but at some point between 8% and 35 % the program freezes. I have tryed many times on both of my computors. I have gigs of free space on my hardrive 700 plus megs of ram and a 1400 processor. I have tryed re-encoding the file with main concept encoder, fixing mpeg errors with VCD Gear and have allso played the movie completely through with Win dvd and had no problems. I can't find any posts with a similar problem, anyone have any thoughts on what my problem may be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If You can't get any "dvd complaint " files thru TDA, would suggest an uninstall/reinstall of the app.

Or, a defrag just before you start the burn process might help.

OTOH, if you've been able to prcoess other files successfully but not this particular one... most likely your current file is corrupted in some manner.
TDA is a bit more picky than some of the pc players.

TDA is rather poor in handling exception and least forgiving for video source error. In my experience, de-multiplex the video and audio streams then multiplex them again helps in many of my cases.
