  1. Hi...obviously a newbie here. I have a directivo unit and a standalone dvd recorder. I record a lot of my shows onto dvd to archive...specifically football games. My recorder does not have a hard drive...so I bought one for my computer. I would like to take the dvd and remove the commercials. How would I do this and what would be the best program to use to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

you could probably use dvd2avi, and then send the avi through tmpgenc to make dvd compliant mpeg files. next, would be to use the edit function of tmpgenc to cut out the commercials. merge your files, and reauthor
