Ive been searching and searching thru these forums... ive probably found maybe 2 actual guides/instructions on how to convert vcds to dvd... but i want to get 3 vcds onto 1 dvd... they would obviously fit size wize... but ive been seeing things bout mpeg 2? alls i can seem to get out of all the instructions i follow is to come out with an mpeg1video with mpeg2 sound haha... i was hopin sum1 could give me or direct me to an easy to follow and not complicate guide to making this happen... i found sum guides with using 10 different progs... i dont think thats necessary... just tell me whut i need and how to do it... thnx guys

    TMPG Author

    Use VCDGear to rip the DAT files to MPEG, and tell it to fix errors.

    Now follow any of the TMPG Author guides. Basically your going to add the VCD's from file. TMPG will re-do the Audio to 48 Khz (I can't recall doing this manually). You decision is whether each VCD will be a seperate title or a segment of a single chapter (are they the same movie).

    No re-encoding required, VCD is DVD complient (except for the audio).

  3. ya their the same movie... i just want to compile them to make one big movie... i have Sonic MyDVD to make the title menu and stuff (if it works) lol... but yes i want them all in one movie (i used mydvd b4 and it quit writing the movie half way.. dont know y)

  4. ya.. so how would i compile the 3 movies into one? mpegjoiner? do i do it before i run it thru tmpgenc or after? how do i use an authouring program? which one? im lookin for an easy one... any steps to take with the tmpgenc?
