  1. I am trying to convert AVI to SVCD ready to go to DVD-r.

    The problem is that the AVI's have MPEG audio not AC3.

    And the Bitrate is 41K not 48K as needed for DVD-r.

    I use DVD-Lab which does transcode the audio but i'd rather do it myself.

    I use Honestech MPEG Encoder to convert to SVCD but would rather use TMPGENC and an Audio encoder so i can have total control over the process.

    Does anyone know (and Recommend) an Audio Ripper and converter that will Encode 41K to 48K and which wont change the sync with the Video.

    Try Gold Wave. Load the original video, filter it, and save it as a wave file. Then multiplex it.
