Hi ALL! ( sorry if this isnt the right forum, wasnt sure where to put this one?)
I bought & downloaded a video from http://www.divx.com/jefflew/
on Animation and i want to backup onto DVD-R.
I have tried a few guides but non of the prog's ( AviCodec, virtual dub, TMPGEnc, YAAI etc ) will recognise the format??? ( when opend from a program, it looks as it's an Windows Media AVI file, but wont open, & if you just open the folder itself it looks like a DIVX movie file icon)
Does anyone know what format these files are in? I know i can just back the DIVX file up onto CDR's ( 467mb each )or 1 DVD in DIVX format but i would like to either Join all 3 movies or 1 movie per disc( 1hr 30Mins) & to be able to watch on TV aswell. (it's NTSC format i'm sure but in 640x480 but i would like to make it into PAL if possible aswell)
Has anyone else had this problem or heard of this problem, better yet know how to correct this problem?
Thanks in advance
(The demo's of this vid say on the site that they are in DIVX 5.1) you can find the movies at www.divx.com/movies
