  1. I have this problem using almost any dvd-using three different writers in the fact i am burning dvds, nero6 is then verifying them successfully and when i goto read the data on it, it says there is nothing there on it.Does anyone know what im doing wrong????

    Sounds like you have not added any data to be burned. So nero verifies that no error occured.

    before you click burn the window should show folders/files selected/added to templete for burning

  4. sorry-my fault i never made that clear...i am burning data not just simulating-the disk is always full and is read by either writer as nothing on it but around 4.2gig full(about 6 films). i dont know what is wrong-in my profile it has the writers i have-is it my discs(1 batch of blanks and 1 batch of Ritek Grade A DVD-R 4x)?????

    The same exact thing happened to me on my office machine at work. At that time I had no Admistrative Power so I could not do anything about it. After demanding that I be given the "Admin powers", I proceeded to un-instal it and removed all instances of NERO from the registry. Re-Installed for scratch and low and behold, it's be working perfectly ever since.
    No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

    Its easy to get burning software set to just 'test only'. It might look like its really burning when its only testing the project. At the end of the test the blank DVD will be uneffected.

    It sounds like this is what's going on.

    As far as your profile goes, just edit it. Not hard to do.

  7. Burn a disk about half full and then look at the surface of the disk. You will be able to tell if its burning or not.

  8. hhmmm now ive noticed that the dvd writer is not recognizing any dvds i put in it-i have already burned 1000s of dvds so i know what i am doing is ok...its just im not sure about software compatibility or disc for that matter even tho' the home sites tell me this would be ok...i shall try re-installing the drivers later.thanx for your help people.
