I have been trying to make a dup of my daughters new DVD Finding Nemo so that she can use a backup to watch and destroy instead of the original. Problem is that both DVDDecryptor and AnyDVD either lock or crash with errors whenever I try to read this disk.

Is there an odd type of encryption on this disk that DVDDecryptor or AnyDVD will not get around?

    Any help would be wonderful.

I have backed up Finding Nemo just fine using DVD Decrypter, did you check the disc for scratches of finger prints?

I tried smartripper and it didn't work either.

The disk is brand spanking new (Christmas present) and I am the only one that has handled it.

I am using a Sony DRU-500A if that helps any.

I have a new BTC DVD-Rom drive on the way. I think it might be that the Sony just doesn't like the disk. That would be the first disk I found it didn't like though.

    ixll,

I agree with you, looks as though the Sony drive is having trouble reading the disc. Good luck with the new dvd-rom when it arrives.
