Hello! I recently received a concert dvd from someone in Finland through Ebay. The disc is multi-region and ntsc format. It looks fine most of the time, but when there is fast motion, like a drumstick moving or someone's hand jamming on a guitar. it leaves horizontal lines like interlaced video lines through the motion. It's still watchable, but the lines are sort of annoying. Does anyone know what is wrong? More importantly, if I rip it to the hard drive can I fix the video problems and then reburn? Thanks a bunch, and God bless!
Mike

I have Monty Python - The Meaning of Life on DVD and this movie does a similar thing. I burned a copy to DVD-R and played the movie back and the lines dissapeared.
I didn't compare directly with the original to see if it was just my imagination or hopeful additude about the movie but I didn't notice the lines on the copied disk.
I used pinnacle instant copy and AnyDVD to make the dup. I don't think I adjusted the compression levels on any of the features. Just let IC do the auto settings and chose "Best Quality" for compression method.
Just FYIUmmm.. Yeah, what he said...
