  1. I was using my WinFast TV 2000XP Deluxe card happily, but i needed to re-install windows due to other, unrelated problems.

When i re-installed my TV-Card on a fresh install of Windows XP Pro. I got error messages from the "Windows Error Reporter". These errors appear to be with "ole32.dll". I updated the drivers and software and now only get the error in TV mode, not in Radio mode.

I only get the error when trying to load the TV software, it crashes on the splash screen. The remote control program in the system tray runs without problems. I also get "ASUS Digital VCR" and "Virtualdub" crashing with what appears to be the same problem.

I don't know what to try next.

It may be a good idea to "Google" newsgroups for similar issue, check Winfast support site and knowledgebase and/or call manuf. tech support.

  3. i use the same card under XP pro and have reinstalled windows numerous times without any problems.

why not try uninstalling the software and drivers along with the other software that are experiencing problems. then try installing the winfast software and drivers. see what happens.

if that fails, your best bet maybe to reformat and reinstall xp again. btw, if you just reinstalled windows without blanking your hard drive, errors in your registry may have been preserved.

    good luck.

I've updated the drivers, uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled the drivers, the software, tried alternative software. It just doesn't want to work for some bizzare reason!

  5. Ah, hidden away in the FAQs on the leadtek website was some info about the Kazaa Lite codec pack. After un-installing one of the filters it works fine.
