    Hello all...just got a Series 2 TiVo for my girlfriend, and am looking for an easy way to archive the video off of it and burn onto SVCD.

    What is the best/easiest/quickest way to do this? I have a G4 Cube running Panther and Toast 6. What hardware/software do I need?

    There is no easy way to take the MPEG2 off of a Series 2 TiVo. If you had a Series 1 and were willing to risk the hack, it would have been possible. Go to the DoneDeal messageboards to see the latest in hacks. The best/easiest way for you is to lay the video off to tape and to capture the video onto your Mac. 8)
