I've been trying to capture video (Sponge Bob for my daughter) from tv for about a month now with no luck. This is starting to drive me crazy. I've searched the board for a solution with no results, just more headaches.
I'm trying to capture video from Intervideo Windvd Creator 2 in mpeg format. The video is fine but the audio is way out of sync. It starts a couple seconds after the video. There is no gradual out of sync. I can capture in avi format and the sync is fine. The problem that way is the capture craps out any where from 10 to 15 mins later. I've tried unsuccessfully using virtual vcr with lordsmurfs walkthrough. I keep getting error "could not render filter - smart tee-compression codec- flow meter" or if I don't use compression it captures a couple seconds then crashes and closes. Alot of people talk highly of virtualdub, but as I understand it, I can't use it due to my capture card ( nvidia personal cinema, Geforce2 mx400). I've tried to upgrade my wdm drivers with no luck. I can upgrade to the lastest drivers for my card but then I lose the capture function all together. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
my system= Gigabyte p4 titan intel 845 chipset
p4 2.0 GHz, 512mb ram, one 100gb wd 7200rpm hd, one 200 gb wd 7200 rpm hd, geforce2 mx400 nvidia personal cinema video card.
Thanks in advance,
Jay
