    I just tried DVD43 and it works great and very consistant. Region free, css free, lets me rip and transcode a DVD in 20 to 30 minutes. Icon is pretty ugly but who cares. If you don't feel like spending money on AnyDVD or 'DVD region-free' give this a try. I beleive it only works with XP and don't forget to download the Patin-Couffin layer (not sure what it does, but it's a requirement).

    Patin-Couffin is an alternative to ASPI. Substantially stabler.

    And last I checked, although DVD Region Free has as a bullet point DeCSS, I've never seen it actually DO it.
