    Can you give us some specifics? What do you have and how long is it currently taking?

  3. Well,
    I would still consider myself a nubie, but I think this is simple.

    I am wrestling with this my self, and have come to this conclusion;

    1 - lower you quality settings (btrate, etc.)
    2 - get a faster computer.

    I am using a celery 366! It is slooooooowwww for video work. It is fine for games (I dont play much any more), but video stuff is driving my next upgrade.

    I have been looking hard and think my new system will be;
    Althon XP 1600, Shuttle 31 kt266a, 256mb crucial, and 7200rpm IBM 40gb.

    I am also looking at getting a new cdrw, I want 99min and burnproof.

    I hope this helps...

    If not, well, hug your cat.
