DVD FAB Problem

Well after you read this youll know im a first timer no doubt. I have a free trial version of DVDFAB that I tried to use with my Sony DRU 530 the other day. I loaded the movie to the harddrive with DVDFAB, then when it asked me to, I proceeded with the recording. When it was done, I tried it out on my DVD player, and all seemed fine at first. The warning screen came up, and then everything stayed black. My player said error, and that was that. So I guess my question is what did I do wrong? I used DVDFAB, and followed the instructions as I went along. It seemed easy, but it sure didnt work. In case your wondering I tried to back up my copy of Fletch. I believe its only a single layer DVD. Any help here would be appreciated. Thank you.

By the way I used Memorex DVD-R 4x dvds on this backup attempt.

This doesn't answer your DVDFab question, but since the DVD is single layer (DVD5), you can use DVDDecrypter (freeware) to copy/burn your backup. See GUIDES on the left side of your screen ( <--- ) for more info.
