Sorry my poor english.
I've made a backup of "American History X" movie from DVD to DVD-R. I'm using Nero 5.5.10.54 and had no problem like this before.
The backup has portuguese subtitles but I can't see them when reading the DVD using my standalone DVD player (Bluesky DV-1100).
This won't happen using my PC and PowerDVD, the subtitles show perfectly.
The Bluesky DVD player is new (1 month old) and I've read 22 diferent movies with no such problem. What can I do? Is there any way I can add the original subtitles manually and maybe correcting the problem this way?

How did you create the backup,is it possible you did not include the subtitles?

That's what I thought at first, but he did say it worked on his PC (PowerDVD). So that means the subtitle must be there, it's just doesn't show up on his DVD player. Is it possible that the subtitle is being cut off when viewed on his TV?
Governa, do you have a widescreen TV by any chance?
