I have previously tried burning SVCD's via a capture card in my PC when trying to convert my analog camcorder tapes to digital. But the result wasn't near the quality of the original tapes due to the noise that was introduced in the process. Tweaking filters, etc. didn't really help much.
(This was with an AverMedia capture card/VirtualDub/Tmpgenc)
So I was wondering what the result looks like when using a DVD recorder.
How close does the result play like the tape when using a VCR?
Does the DVD recorder record off the TV or does the VCR feed directly into the DVD recorder?
thanks
