    Nero takes forever to encode and burn a SVCD, is there any other prog that does it faster?
    Also, is there any program that can change the resolution of an avi-file? E.g. from 320*720 to something else. Keep the codecs and stuff, just change the res....

    I think most people here will agree that TMPGenc and DVD2SVCD are the best tools for AVI to SVCD conversions. As for your question about changing resolutions, AVI Tags can force a new resolution but playback usually suffers.
