From .ts to mpeg2

Hi

I have a .ts video file that is a mpeg2 streamer.
I need to convert it to a normal mpeg 2 file so i can edit it with quicktime.

I can play it with mplyer but when i try to convert it with ffmpeg X i have only error (ffmpeg can't read the file).
I olso try with mencoder, it read it but it onli cenvert in divx or mpeg4.

So How i can mux this file from .ts to mpeg 2 ?
Can ffmpeg from gui or termina do it ?
