  1. I'm just curious but are there any ways to convert .mov files to anything else? (like mpegs)

    Thanks

  2. Yup, there sure is - I needed to do this too (some demo movies in mov format, to vcd for playing on a srtandalone).

TmpgEnc can do it with a plugin (best way), and there's a dos movtoavi proggie (which is not all that good - very restricted on input format).

There's also the Rad Video tools (freebie) which is VERY good at mov to ?? conversions.

I forgot to add you'll most likely need the quicktime codecs (but DON'T install qt itself, use the Quicktime Alternate.

  3. i use the tmpgenc quicktime plug in for doing this, i it works just fine , but as always quality depends on the source, shit in = shit out and quality of qt movie sive found varies greatly but can be very good if done well
