  1. I would like to know what you think of the menu's of Panasonic E80 and Pioneer VR-5100H.

    I guess... only difference is that you can select only from couple of designs (E80=9, 5100? not sure)

    I was reading couple of manuals and so far only Philips DVDR-77/17 could select picture for menu backround.

    The E80H doesn't do "picture menus." The E100H does. As far as I'm concerned, the "text only" menus do JUST FINE -- why anyone would want to spend the hours it would take to move the video to a computer just to get picture menus just absolutely baffles me!!

  6. From what I gather, people want to make the discs they created look more professional by having thumbnail menus. Plus it makes it easier to see what you've recorded I think.
