    I understand I need to convert to Mpeg2, although Studio seems to be able to use AVI files as well, to author DVD's. How do I convert the MP4's?

    When you say, "Studio", what do you mean? Ulead Video Studio, Pinnacle Studio, what?

    MPEG-4 can be AVI(Windows) or QT(MAC).If it's "xxx.avi" then any encoder will do,if it's "xxx.mp4" then check in the Tools section.Ulead VideoStudio or Pinnacle Studio can only handle "xxx.qt"or"xxx.mov" files when you have QuickTime player installed.
