how come when i edit my mpg either i cut it or join it, it ended up with MPEG-2 format and i can't burn it to vcd because nero said its not compatible for all vcd player.
Infact i still burn them and ended up its not working on my player.... =[

You can't use the MPEG2 format for a VCD. You have to stick to the MPEG1 format. So you'd better use a MPEG1 editor, like MPEG1VCD. And don't forget to save as VCD format.
