  1. Ok, i recently started to burn dvd's of my own, and i opened a topic here:

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=195118

I open this new topic because i have other questions now

    1) Can someone tell me how to load unlock.mcf in TMPGEnc because it was mentioned by someone in the other post, because i would like to know how to change my Aspect Ratio, 16:9, or 4:3. And how do i know which one is best for my original xvid/divx file? I had some respons to this question, but only what's best for 1 certain file, but not how to calculate it? I have GSpot, and it gives the aspect ratio of the original file, but that gives for example this:

    2) How to load the template unlock.mcf into TMPGEnc, because i would like to change the Framerate, because it is locked at 25 fps, and it should be 23,976 or not? (This is the framerate of the original xvid file, as you can see in the picture of GSpot above)

My version is TMPGEnc 2.5 Plus

Thanks a lot, and a nice christmas (and newyear)

It's Dead simple, start TMPGEnc, select the load button at the bottom, a window will popup, you should see a folder saying EXTRA, double click on that, and select the unlock.mcf.

Thats it, everything will now be unlocked.

  3. Also, many (all?) settings are unlockable by clicking on the labels.

On the Video tab, if the size is not editable, simply click on the word "Size" and it has a drop down to unlock it.

  4. if your fps do not correspond to what Gspot show u, then maybe u have not choosen the good project type ...

if u use the wizzard, the soft offer u , PAL , NSTC ..etc profiles

to have 25fps locked, u must have choosen PAL project,

so try NTSC, and u will have to deal between 23.97 or 29.97 fps

the hability to unlock settings is quite easy, just right-click on your setting and u will see a pop up to lock or unlock the setting ... :P

i do Xvid to DVD too, the most times with ac3 audio .. cauz it roXX !!
