Hi all,
Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just reformatted pc etc and like a bafoon I forgot to note all the enviro settings for TMPGEnc 2.59.47.155
Can someone please give me the best settings to start with as at the mo I can't do jack with it, lol.
Is there any alternative software to TMPGEnc to prepare avi/mpg for dvd burn? Looking for something easy like TMPGEnc but maybe less tempremental in the settings department.
Regards
Lasher

I saw a post by ScottyMac that says to use these:
It's your environmental settings.
Do 'em like this...
DirectShow Multimedia File Reader.......3
AVI2(OpenDML) File Reader................1
AVI VFW compatibility Reader.............0
CyberLink MPEG-2 Decoder.................0
Microsoft MPEG-1 Decoder.................0
Wave File Reader..............................0
BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG File Reader...........-2
DVD2AVI Project File Reader 1.76+.....-2
TMPGEnc Project File Reader 2.58......-2
I am going to try them myself, as I skewed mine trying to fix an encoding problem that turned out to be nothing more than a full disk TMPGEnc was using to store its temp files on.Hello. -
Check this out.

In your shoes I'd stick with Tmpgenc. There are even some
nice pre made templates you can download from the tools
section so you can encode away without concerning yourself
with the settings.
