    Nope....
    can you be more specific?

with all dvd's? only on some?

did you try trashing it and reinstalling it?

has been working perfect for me on 10.3 10.3.1 and now on 10.3.2!

My guess is its a problem with the way you installed Panther, and not DVDBackup.

How did you install the OS? Clean? Archive? Also are you using DVDBackup v1.3?

I had similar problems with DVDBackup after upgrading (archive and install) to Panther. Previously I had never had a single error with DVDBackup, now it fails on almost every DVD. If I use DVDPlayer and play through every chapter it will sometimes work, but back on Jaguar I only had to play the first second or so of the 1st chapter so skipping to every chapter kinda sucks (and isn't 100% anyway).

I had assumed it was just that DVDBackup was not compatible or that something about the new OS "hides" the DVD decryption key better. However I've tried with the old DVDPlayer 3.2 instead of 4 and same results.

I thought everyone had this problem, but from galacttica and antnymd's posts it sounds like only some of us are having problems with DVDBackup .... For now I've just given up on DVDBackup and am using 0sex.

    My 2c,

From the large majority of the information I've been reading on the internet, the only people who are having software problems of any kind in Panther are those who did not do a clean install of Panther.

Hrm that's very interesting. I might have to give that a try - I was interested in trying out the swap-disk-on-partition speedup technique discussed on various OSX forums but hadn't done so due to the need to wipe the HD. Perhaps I can kill two birds with one stone now, although everything other than DVDBackup has been working as expected.

All I need now is an external HD! Reinstalling 18 gigs of software is gonna be boooooring...

I have several drives and wiped one of them clean to install panther on it.

only problem is all my iApps info is on my other drive! but a simple renavigation in preferences for most of the iApps corrected that....
