  1. Does the medi code tell you everything about the dvd?

I mean if you have a Ricoh dvd+r and a Memorex dvd+r both with media code RICOHJPNR01, is this the same disk then? Many peopel complain about memorex, but almost all people seems to be happy with Ricoh. If they are the same disks it's strange that the memorex discs don't seems to work that good.

Also I find some cheap bulkpaq with Ritek dye, thought they was RICOHJPNR01 disks. Then they should be good disks to a very cheap price and work just fine, because they are RICOHJPNR01?

  3. So don't bother about the if the disk is bulkpaq or Philips, the brand dosen't matter, the media code is all that matters. Am I right?

Then it's not right to say bulkpaq sucks, because if this realy is Ritek as it says, it's damn cheap 1,2$ for each dvd+r of those.

Another question, how do you know if the disk has the new G04 ritek dye, can u find that in the media code info?
