Is there a way to add chapter points to an audio CD (for a comedy tape) in the manner one would author a DVD??? Does anyone know of CD authoring software that does that???

convert the audio disc in to a wav & cut it up in to segments, and burn it as an audio cd through nero.

Chapter Points?
You'll have to break the show up into tracks and author as an audio disk. -
a few audio editors let you insert "markers" wherever you like, and these markers define where one track starts and ends. there's usually a "split into tracks by markers" option in there somewhere.
try using cool edit pro.
(i know sound studio on os x does it)
