I have a Divx movie that I want to add arabic subtitles (srt. format) to, but when I try and add it in virtualdub the letters look sort of Greek and Russian. I read a few forums and found that many editing programs cant handle Arabic and so was wondering if anybody knows how to do it, so they can play in a stand alone dvd player.
Sorry if this is covered somewhere else but I looked around and all I could find was stuff on chinese subs and no one really had an answer for those either.
    Thanks for your time

I was wondering if you can email the subtitles to me, and let me see if they can be displayed properly.

I dont actually understand Arabic so I download english subs and change them to arabic using an arabic translation site. I know there must be an easier and faster way to do it but in the past I have downloaded Arabic subs and when my dad has had a look at them he has said they are not right

    Hi
If no one knows how to attach Arabic subs to a film to play in a stand alone dvd player, could they maybe tell me what I would need to make it work on a computer. Is it vobsub that is important? Also if I burned the film as a data file would it work in windows media player or power dvd
    Thank you for the help
