  1. Hi
I hate to use my firstpost to ask for help but....
    I have a Sony Vaio:
    2.54 Ghz
    512 MB Ram
    120 GB Hard Drive
    and I got a
ATI All IN Wonder VE PCI card it came with Pinnacle Studio 8

I can only capture at 352x240 or 480x480 without dropping frames is there anything i can do about this? should i use a different capture program? do i need more ram?

any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

A couple of things I may suggest. First, when capturing, capture only. Shut down every unnecessary application when doing it.

Get another 7200 RPM hard drive, and capture only to it. If you know how to partition, put your system files on a C: partition, and capture to a separate drive altogether.
    Hello.

But i already close everything down including virus protection and my capture files are already all on a seperate partition than system and program files.
