I have a DivX AVI movie file
I encoded with the Quick Preset VCD option and selected "keep to 1 CD of 700MB" using ffmpegx 0.0.9a

    I have 3 files as a result
    movie.mpg - 1.15GB (works in QuickTime - no sound)
movie.m1v - 53MB (does not run in anything)
    movie.mp2 - 170mb (works in iTunes)

    what do I do now?[/list]

Is this such a complicated question that no one can suggest an answer. I would really appreciate your help

  3. the .mv1 and .mp2 files are the video and audio components of the .mpg

the 1.15 gb file is the final movie, why it will not play with sound is a mystery, have you tried using MplayerOSX? or VLC?

when you use the VCD option then you choose the bitrate, the "keep to 1 700MB cd" is for other things, like .avi's

VCD's need the standard bitrate of 1150kbs video and 224kbs audio.

what you need to do is split the video and author as VCD..... both are under "Post Processing"
