  1. All of these codecs are making a mess on our computers.
I have a feeling uninstalling KLite codec pack still leaves windows thinking codec is there.
Does anyone know where the installed codec information is hiding so I can permanently remove it? I am willing to hack registry if needed!

go to sounds and audio devices in the control panel. Click on the hardware tab, double click video codecs, click the properties tab and there you are.

  3. That seems to be missing some codecs like ligos MPeg2 - or is it hiding somewhere under random DLL name?

Also KLite seems to pack number of codecs into signle DLL - do all of them show up there?
