    hello,
I Am trying to create DVDs and always run into the same single problem; the final product is always out of sync.

I Have tried 2 'styles' of source video. I Have used an MPEG and converted it to DVD Format, using TMPGEnc multiplexed etc. then tried to put it onto DVD, and also captured DVD format and tried to put that onto DVD.
It plays but after a short time the sound is out of sync.
I Have noticed that even tho i have multiplexed the sound/video myself DVDWS also does it...Is there anyway to bypass this. I Think this is what is causing the problems.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank You

You can not stop this and it is unlikley to be your problem. When DVDWS says 'multiplexing' it is actually creating the .vob files. These are a slightly different format to the source mpegs and are limited to 1Gb in size.

Does your source mpeg play without sync problems before authoring?

Oh, and having said that the multiplexing is not your problem, I do seem to remember that an early version of DVDWS had sync problems, try making sure you have all the latest patches.

it is an early version i believe...i think its a DVDWS problem as the movie plays fine in WMP and even in the preview using DVDWS, however when its finally on the disc i get problems.
I have tried varied discs and dvd players and get the same problems so thats why i'm thinking its a problem with DVDWS.
I Downloaded an update a while back, and it said it couldnt find DVDWS

You know I have the same probs, I even tried with other programs and same deal (Sonic Foundry DVD Architect 1.0 and NeroVison Express2) and always a sync issue. AVI or MPG files, seems mostly with the larger ones. Lately I downloaded all episodes for season 3 of ALIAS and I burn to DVD and they look great and sound great... then... about 20min into the show you'll notice it a bit, by the end it's a good 2-3 second gap. I had a full movie once, tried splitting into two, first half wasn't bad, second half out of sync... driving me nuts.
