  1. I load some .vob files to the asset window. They are of the same movie. When I drag the second file up to the movietimeline it sais that I already have a movie there. What should I do to brang all files up in order.

I would use DVD Decrypter to rip the VOB files with NO file splitting. This will give you one big VOB file to work with instead of like 5 or 6.

  3. Does it work even though the vob files are on my computer and not on a cd

  5. Actually, I can't seem to figure out how to select anything other than a DVD or CD ROM drive as the source in DVD Decrypter. That said you could still just burn the VOB files straight to a DVD (i would use a DVD RW disc that way you don't waste a DVD R disc), then use DVD Decrypter to rip the files from the created DVD back to your HD as one VOB file.

funkguy4....How can you select VOB files from your hard drive as the source files within DVD Decrypter?

  9. I think FOO has the right idea.

Also, if you do not want to re-rip or make one large VOB or demux for that matter, add each movie clip to it's own MOVIE box. Then, connect the end of the first with the beginning of teh next until all the VOBs are connected.

Watch what it does when you add a VOB in % progress . It doesn't show
all of them , but it is reading them all

You can do that, but then you will not be able to freely move through all chapters. You will only be able to move between chapters contained in the current movie clip (Movie Box) being viewed. If your movie clip is in the final chapter, then you can't just hit next chapter to go to the next movie clip. You will have to wait until the next movie clip starts to thumb through the chapters contained in the clip. At least this is what I was forced to deal with(if there is a work around to this let me know). This is why I prefer to deal with 1 large clip, besides...It doesn't take long to copy the files to a DVD RW, then rip them to the hard drive. This method worked great for me.
