    Hello friends, I need HELPPPPP!

How to convert Mpg1 to Avi without get a enormous avi file.

I have an Mpg1 move and i need to add subtitles an I don't know how.

I tried the with Virtual Dub but with the Frame server the TmpG encoder don't recognise the .vdr file.( Unknow file format).

So, please help me. Is there anyway to recognise the file? Can I add the subtitles directly to the MPG1 without convert first to Avi.

    Kind Regards,

Have a look at the virtualDub directory, click on AuxSetup.exe, install the handler.
TMPG accept .vdr files as video source.
Get Gabest' vobsub if you want to have subtitles. Extract it to Vdub\plugin subdirectory and rename the .dll to .vdf.

zola, I could not reply by email. Which error message have you got exactly?
Go to option> enviromental setting> VFAPI plugin and change the priorities of the file readers. Probably Direct show must be set to highest priority. Also try to run Proxyoff.reg before starting the frameserver. I know, the guide says run Proxyon.reg, but it isn't necessary since TMPG accept .vdr files.
