  1. I just bought myself a Xoro DVD player that can play DivX files, and I'm really excited. But one of the problems I have when I burn and watch the movies, is that when I can understand english without the subtitles, some cannot. Is there any way to burn a DVD with subtitles?
I remember one way, and that was to reencode the whole file, and that takes too much time, and you loose too much quality.
I'd like to know if there is a way to add the subtitle files, and then let the DVD-player read it, just like it does with regular Subtitles.

Anyone know if this is possible?

I guess you want to put subs in some text format on the same disc as the AVI and have it overlayed (like the DirectVobSub filter does on the computer)? I don't think that's possible, but check the player documentation. If the player doesn't have some mechanism for this built in, there's not much you can do but reencode with the subs added.

Include .srt files with the same name as the .avi file and see if that works?

I've heard the liteon beta firmware includes support for .srt files, so its possible your Xoro may too.
