  1. Astrum!

I'm using DVD Maestro (Which i must add, is an Amazing Authoring Software, absolutely Brilliant) ... to author my DVDs.

I was able to successfully create a DVD from my Video Files, with all Chapters, Menus etcetera. I could Compile the project successfully and even write the Disk Image to be burned to DVD.

However, when i open the "Write to DVD" dialog box, it doesn't show my DVD Burner... it only shows my Samsung CD Writer Drive.

I have the latest Optorite DVD +/- R/RW Dd burner.
I had to use Nero6 eventually to burn the DVD Project that Maestro had compiled. The DVD of course came out brilliant and plays on my normal DVD player now... But is there a way to make the Optorite DVD Burner appear in Maestro so i could write directly using Maestro?

    Thanks,
    Mickey

I think that Maestro does't support newer burners because SpruceUP disscontinued updating the software couple of month/years ago.
    But I may be wrong...

    No i think you're right.
Oh well, too bad. I guess i'll just be using Nero6 for final burning. Maestro is just too good at what it does, i would have prefered to use it.

    Thanks,
    Mickey

The development of MAESTRO stopped three years ago because APPLE hired everyone at MAESTRO and discontiuned the MAESTRO product line
That said, if you purchased MAESTRO as a turnkey system (over $50,00 in some configurations) you can contact the folks that sold it to you,
and if you tell them you had to replace the original PIONEER BURNER the program can work with, they will write a driver for the OPTO DISC mechanism and send you an update.

    WRONG
Well I read that the Spruce engineers were writing new drivers for qualified recipients

What you are right about is that many people are using this software AFTER THE FACT and cannot get updates..

The Pioneer A05 is supported if you purchased your MAESTRO, its just not posted..you have to talk to APPLE for support
