Does DVD Shrink get past the first few minutes of the DVD? If not....it's your DVD-Rom that has the issue with the wrong region DVD....not DVD Shrink(at least in MY past situations).

  4. If DVD Shrink doesn't do it, Rip it to your HD first with DVD Decrypter .... this will definitely remove it and make it region free. Default Settings will do it.

Then run DVD Shrink and point it at your files, on the HD.

  5. Thx guys

Looks like i shall go ahead with getting one then. I have done some reading up.

With the 300 resolution i understand you can get away with using a lower bitrate to fit more on a dvd but a 700 resolution requires at least 4000bits to be of decent quality. Silly question maybe, but would the 300 resolution fill the whole screen of a TV? And secondly, is there that much of a noticable different between the 2 resolutions and their bit rates at a average viewing distance of 4 meters.

Sorry about the vague resolutions i cant remember them exactly.

    TIA
