I have an episodic dvd of a TV series. Each episode is about 43 min.
I ripped an epiosde with Dvdecrypter in ifo mode, no file splitting, which gave me a vob of about 2 GB.
Renamed the vob to mpg, loaded into dvd movie factory, reauthored, burned a new dvd. It plays fine in all players I have.
However, the time shown for the title is 35 min.
I played the new dvd side by side with the original. The entire program is there, it actually takes 43 min to play it. I displayed the time for the original and new dvd during playback. The time on the new dvd just runs slower than the original.
Any ideas why the time is off? Could it be because when I ripped it, I only selected one audio track, leaving out alternate audios and subtitles, therefore reducing the file size?
It's not a big deal since the episode plays fine, but it would be interesting to find out why.
