  1. I have Pinnacle Studio 8 and it only reads .avi and .mpg movie clips, or at least I think so. How do I convert .mov clips so I can edit with Pinnacle Studio 8, and which format should I convert to, .avi or .mpg?

You can use TMPGenc to convert your .mov to mpeg as long as you have the Quicktime VFAPI plugin installed. If you have a good quality .mov I'd convert it to mpeg-2, otherwise mpeg-1.
