Having some trouble with TMPGEnc. I am trying to take an mpeg and split it into tow seperate files. I managed to take the file and output it to the first of two files without a problem. Then I went back into TMPGEnc and slid the slider bar half way (right where the first file ends) and when I hit Run, I get an error after a minute or so.
"Illegal mpeg video stream"???
Anyone know what could be going on?

I've had this kind of problem using TMPGenc and I gave up all together. I now use Boilsoft AVI/MPG/ASF/WMV splitter found here:

Great little app by the way. Sorry this isn't exactly a solution to your TMPGenc issue. -
I remember the older versions had this problem. If you have the latest version, try using the Source Range function. It is more user friendly.
