Hi all,
Suppose I have a DD 2.0 AC3 file.
If I simply convert it to WAVE and then back to the same format, will the ending one be lossy when compared to first one ?
Please note that I am aware that original LPCM conversion to AC3 is a lossy process, but my question refers to the case in which the original is already AC3;
Thanks,
Zetti

Yes. Every encoding to a not lossless format introduces some drop in quality.
WAV ->loss-> AC3 ->WAV -> loss ->AC3
