I'd like to take some of my son's disney movies and convert them from VHS to DVD. Not trying to pirate anything, just would like to eliminate the 10 minutes worth of advertising in the beginning. I planned on connecting my camcorder to my VHS player and recording them onto digital 8. Next download it from the camcorder via 1394, edit accordingly and then burn with my dvd burner. The problem I have is my camcorder (Sony) flashes "Copy Inhibit" on some of the tapes. Is there a way to get around this what I'm assuming is the Macrovision protection? I thought you were allowed to make copies of movies you own ?
