Just got a free computer... well not free. It was kinda messed up and I agreed to upgrade another computers system board after christmas in exchange for it. Turns out all tha was wrong was the sensor that detects fan failure is stucks so it always thinks the fan is failing. So I turned the sensor off. Also the HDD had died, so I found a 20 gig in a box and swaped it (was a 40gb before)

Now I have a P4 2ghz all in one computer with a built on 15"LCD, sound, nic, the works. CD-ROM (no DVD.... YET) and its only going to cost me about $65 when all is said and done. What a great feeling....

Oh yeah, all is not perfect, it has a crappy 8mb shared memory video card in it. Here is a pic tho stolen from an ebay auctions, it looks just like this:

So now its up and running with XP, but I can't for the life of me adjust the entrie picture onto the screen with the LCD, there are no adjustment controls like on a CRT monitor and nothing in xp lets me move the picture over...hrm... worked fine at the bios level boot level...

Amid my excitement at getting a free P4 computer I forgot the other free thing I got from the same source. A Casiopia (sp? CAsio palmtop) e125. Its color but not windows CE, it just needs a new battery.

I agree its weird, basicly the mobo/cpu and full sized PCI cards sit as part af the monitor on the back side. With the bottom side housing the speakers, hard drive, floppy, cd drive and power supply. Strange design but I notice that the 2ghz p4 runs ultra quiet and cool like that.
